Student arrested for hitting a car parked by the roadside in Lefkosa

Student who allegedly crashed into a car parked at a street in Lefkosa and then fled the scene has been arrested by the police and taken to court.

The suspect was arrested on Friday and brought to a court in Lefkosa after police launched and concluded investigation on the incident.

The incident reportedly happened at about 7:00pm on Thursday June, 6 at Osman Pasa Street in Lefkosa.

Police say their investigation revealed that the suspect using a rented car, lost control of the wheel and then hit a car parked by the left side of the road.

The accused however did not testify to the crime. She was given a three day detention order for the purpose of investigating police claim.
