Man arrested at Ercan airport for trying to leave North Cyprus with 15 thousand US dollars
Legal action has been taken against a man who tried to exit the TRNC with 15 thousand dollars.
According to police report, the accused identified only as H.D, 40 was caught with 15 thousand American Dollars at Ercan Airport in Lefkosa, north Cyprus on Sunday.
He was arrested for not declaring the money to authorities, and legal proceedings were initiated against him.
According to the TRNC Money and Exchange Act, 10 thousand Euro equivalent foreign currency or Turkish Lira cash money cannot be taken abroad.
