Two cases of coronavirus confirmed on British bases in Cyprus

Two more cases of coronavisus has been confirmed at the British bases in Cyprus.

The two cases, confirmed on Sunday night involves a male and a female member of the British Forces in Cyprus.

They are members of the UK Armed Forces permanently based at RAF Akrotiri, the bases said in an announcement.

They flew back from the UK on March 13 into Paphos Airport and having developed symptoms, they self-isolated and were tested for Coronavirus.

They are currently displaying mild symptoms and remain in self-isolation at RAF Akrotiri.

This brings the total number of cases island wide to 41, 35 in south Cyprus, and 6 in north Cyprus.
