List of countries banned from entering the TRNC over coronavirus

On Sunday evening, the TRNC placed a ban on 71 more countries from entering until March, 28.

The announcement was made after a meeting held by the TRNC Council of Ministers on Sunday. 

The ban includes students and those with resident and work permit in the country.

The decision is valid for all land, air and sea ports entry and will enter into force as of 16 March 2020 at 20:00 until April, 1.

Universities in the country have been suspended until March, 27. 

The TRNC deputy Prime Minister, Kudret Özersay urged everyone to remain indoors and not go out except when necessary.
