Pass or stop? Malfunctioning traffic light in Lefkosa showed Green and Red light simultaneously

Traffic lights installed on streets to ensure safe passage in traffic, at intersections suddenly reached a point where it became a threat to security and motorists.

This was the case when a traffic light in Lefkosa started to malfunction, showing green and red light simultaneously.

The incident happened at the traffic light on the road connecting Dereboyu Avenue and the road where Cyprus Turkish Airlines' former headquarters building was, now (Vehicle Registration Office) on Thursday afternoon.

As a result of the malfunction, both the GREEN and the RED were lit simultaneously. Drivers on the road hesitated to pass and stay. 

Fortunately, there was no accident.
