2 people arrested for illegal residency, 38 people banned from casino

Two people were arrested for living in the TRNC illegally and 31 people banned from entering the casino by Turkish Cypriot Police during a security and traffic inspections carried out in Girne and Güzelyurt between November, 29 – 30.

The inspection carried out within the scope of audits; Legal action was taken against 31 people who were forbidden to enter the casino in Kyrenia, 193 drivers were reported in traffic, 14 vehicles were banned from traffic.

On the other hand, 2 people without a residence permit were detected in Güzelyurt, legal action was initiated against 7 people who were forbidden to be in the casino. In traffic, 351 drivers were reported for various crimes.

According to police statement, within the scope of the inspections carried out in Kyrenia, no negativities were detected in the inspections carried out in the coffee houses, coffee houses and bars operating in the region, while a total of 31 people who were prohibited from entering or being present in the casinos were detected during the inspections carried out in the casinos, and legal action was taken against them.

In the inspections carried out by the traffic teams, 1074 vehicles were checked and 193 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed crimes were reported for various crimes, while 14 vehicles were banned from traffic.

On the other hand, within the scope of the inspections carried out in Güzelyurt, inspections were carried out at bet offices, places where alcoholic beverages are sold and coffee houses operating in the region.

As a result of the inspections, 2 people who were found to be residing in the TRNC without permission were arrested, while legal action was initiated against a business operator who was found to be selling alcoholic beverages without permission from the competent authority, and against 7 people who were found to be gambling.

In the inspections carried out by the traffic teams, 948 vehicles were checked and a total of 351 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed crimes were reported for various crimes.
