Samuel Eto'o filmed brutally ATTACKING a man outside World Cup stadium

President of Cameroon Football Association, Samuel Eto’o, has been filmed attacking a man after Brazil’s 4-1 win over South Korea in the World Cup round of sixteen on Monday.

The former Barcelona striker was caught on camera kneeing a man’s head during an altercation.

Eto’o is also one of Qatar’s ‘legacy ambassadors’ for the tournament.

The incident happened outside the 974 Stadium in Doha on Monday night; the former African Footballer of the Year confronted the man filming him while he posed for selfies with fans.

Eto’o was quickly angered after a brief exchange with the cameraman and resisted being restrained from attacking the white man.

The Cameroon legend chased the man in the viral video, and he [the man] continued to back away.

Eto’o was seen giving his phone to someone to hold while a member of his entourage attempted to grab the camera from the man.

He broke free from the two men restraining him and attacked the man with the camera by kneeing him in the head.

Algerian YouTuber, Said Mamouni, has spoken for the first time since he was assaulted by Cameroon legend, Samuel Eto’o.

Eto’o got involved in an argument with Mamouni, who was filming him outside a stadium, leading to a violent scuffle.

The video of the scuffle between the two men has now gone viral on social media.

Mamouni has now released a video revealing he has reported it to Qatari police.

“I’m at the police station to file a complaint against Eto’o. He hit me, and someone else with him pushed me and destroyed my camera.

“I asked him how is Bakary Gassama [referee that took charge of African World Cup playoff] and if he gave him a bribe. He then hit me and destroyed both my camera and mic.

“I will take my rights here in Qatar as it is a state of law, he did hit me in the chest and the face and in my elbow,” Mamouni said on his YouTube channel.

Later on Tuesday, Eto'o released a statement on Twitter and said: "On last Dec. 5, after the Brazil-South Korea match, I had a violent altercation with a person who was probably an Algerian supporter.

"I would like to apologise for losing my temper and reacting in a way that does not match my personality. I apologise to the public for this unfortunate incident.

"I pledge to continue to resist the relentless provocation and daily harassment of some Algerian supporters. Indeed, since the Cameroon-Algeria match on March 29 in Blida, I have been the target of insults and allegations of cheating without any evidence.

"During this World Cup, Cameroonian fans have been harassed and pestered by Algerians on the same subject. I would like to mention that the scenario of Algeria's defeat was cruel but perfectly in line with the rules and ethics of our sport.

"All the appeals made by the Algerian Football Federation to the competent Jurisdictions have been rejected. I therefore call on the Algerian authorities and Federation to take their responsibilities to put an end to this unhealthy climate before a more serious tragedy occurs.

"To Fennecs' fans, I wish that they find peace and manage to overcome the disappointment of a painful defeat, now behind us."

The man, Algerian social media personality Said Mamouni, later published a video on YouTube saying he was the person who was attacked, and that he was at a Qatari police station to file a complaint against Eto'o.

"Samuel had a fight with me. He hit me, and the one accompanying him pushed me. I'm here to lodge a complaint and he also smashed my camera," Mamouni said.
