14 Drivers fined for driving under the influence of alcohol

Turkish Cypriot police said it identified and fined 14 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol on Saturday night.

Police in it's reports said 1648 vehicle drivers were checked last night during inspections carried out across the country by the traffic teams affiliated to the General Directorate of Police.

As a result of the controls; a total of 304 vehicle drivers were reported for various crimes, 120 of which were driving over the determined speed limit and 14 of them was driving under the influence of alcohol and 18 vehicles were banned from traffic.
