One injured in disastrous accident at the fair junction in Lefkosa

One person was injured after two vehicles collided in a traffic accident at the Lefkcosia Fair junction on Friday afternoon.

The incident involving two vehicles happened on Friday afternoon at the Fuar junction, Lefkosa.

One of the vehicles (blue) involved in the accident tried to enter the Near East road without watching colliding with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. 

The vehicle upon impact was thrown uncontrollably to the left side of the road before crashing into the road side pavement and the iron railings.

The driver of one of the vehicle who was injured in the accident was taken to the hospital for treatment.

After the incident, the road towards Atatürk Sports Hall lights was closed to traffic by the police.

Drivers coming from Gonyeli were directed towards the fairground, while drivers who want to return to the fair junction are directed to the Gonyeli round about.
