Man left with a broken head following a fight in Lefkosa

A person's was left with a cracked skull following a fight in a parking lot in Lefkosa.

A man, named only as HA, a Turkish Cypriot was arrested in connection with the incident and taken to a court in Lefkosa on Monday, April, 17 on charges of "Grave Damage, Serious Battering and injury".

Police told the court that the suspect had an argument with the injured victim, Ş.Ö when he pushed him to the ground causing him to suffer a serious damage as a result of a crack in his skull.

S.O, was rushed to the Lefkosia State Hospital and under observation at the Internal Medicine Service of the hospital.

The police said that the suspect was a TRNC citizen and was educated at a university, and that the investigation had been completed to the extent that it could affect the issue at this stage, and demanded that the suspect be given a guarantee that the court would deem appropriate.

Evaluating the testimony given in court, the judge released the suspect on bail, banned him from going abroad, report to the police once a week, deposits 10,000 TL in cash guarantee and bring 2 guarantors to sign a bail bond of 200,000 TL.
