Friday is public holiday in the TRNC to celebrate Ramadan Feast

The religious “Ramadan Feast” (Candy Feast), which will be celebrated for three days after Ramadan, which is the month of fasting in the Islamic world, begins on Friday, April, 21.  

Thursday is the last day of Ramadan and the eve of Eid al-Fitr, which will start on Friday, will last for 3 days and will end on Sunday. 

All government offices and schools will be closed on Friday.

- Eid prayer will be held at 6.39am on Friday, April 21, the first day of the feast, the Eid Prayer will be held at 6:39am throughout the island.

- Celebration in the Presidency at 10.30am
President Ersin Tatar and his wife Sibel Tatar will celebrate with the people at the Presidency at 10.30am on Friday.

The month of Ramadan, known as the sultan of 11 months, started with the first sahur on March 23. The last iftar will be held on Thursday, April 20, that is, on the eve.

The Presidency of Religious Affairs had determined this year's fitre as 100 TL.
