4G will be implemented in the third quarter of 2023
Reminding that BTHK held frequency auctions for 4G/5G mobile communication systems, the message continued as follows:

“With the authorizations given as a result of this tender, 4G (LTE-Advanced) will start to come to life in our country after the 3rd quarter of 2023. While 4G mobile communication technology provides fast and uninterrupted communication between mobile devices by providing high-speed data transmission, 5G is an even more advanced technology and supports the digital transformation of the future with ultra-fast data transfer, low latency and large device connection capacity. These technologies enable innovative applications in areas such as smart cities, internet of things and virtual reality and contribute to the advancement of societies towards a more connected future.

In addition, we continue our work without slowing down for the further development of services in the fixed market (Fiber, Fixed Wireless Access -FWA).

As a result, World Telecommunications and Information Society Day focuses on the universality, accessibility and transformative impact of communication technologies, together with the latest data published by ITU. This special day is a reminder to celebrate the power of communication and highlight the potential of future innovation.

We celebrate the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day and hope that the progress in the field of communication will continue at full speed.”
