Cyprus deports 25 foreigners living illegally in the country

Cyprus authorities said over two dozen third country nationals were deported back to their countries after they were found residing illegally in Cyprus.

According to Greek Cypriot police report on Wednesday, the 25 people were returned to their home countries on Tuesday.

The report stated that the number of third country nationals repatriated since the beginning of the year, through voluntary and forced deportation procedures, amounts to 3,320.

Tuesday’s joint flight was carried out by the Greek authorities with the cooperation of the FRONTEX Organisation and the immigration services, and police.
