Man with series of criminal record arrested for sexual harassment

A man who had previously been arrested detained several times for sexual harassment, assault and drug crimes, has been arrested again for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in a marketplace in Lefkosa.

The suspect named only as ACV, 23 at around 9:30pm on Monday, May, 8 sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman who was shopping at a market located on Şehit Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street, Küçük Kaymaklı district of Lefkosa by squeezing her hips.

He was arrested on the same day and taken to court on Tuesday on charges of "Sexual Assault".

Police said the suspect had been arrested several times in the past for sexual harassment, assault and drug crimes.

Police said the case is still being investigated and demanded that the suspect be detained for 3 days for investigation to be completed.
