Police arrest two for drugs in Girne

Nearly 60,000TL cash and drugs were found in drug operation carried out by the police in Girne leading to the arrest of two people. 

The operation was carried out by the teams of the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate at around 11:30pm on Tuesday in Girne.

A substance believed to be a cannabis type drug weighing approximately 400 grams and a methamphetamine type drug weighing approximately 8 grams were found in the possession of one of the suspects, MY, 31.

1 burnt cigarette believed to contain drugs mixed with tobacco, 1 precision balance believed to contain drug residues, 2 metal grinders, 6 glass pipes, and a total of 36,000 TL, 700 USD, 100 Euros believed to have been obtained from the drug trade, and 20 Stg cash was found and taken as evidence.

Another suspect named only as H.Ç, 37 who is believed to be related to the person and issue in question was arrested.
