Student involved in accident on the Lefkosia-Famagusta main road

A South African student was lucky to escape unhurt following an accident that happened on the Lefkosia-Famagusta main road on Thursday.

The accident on the Lefkosia-Famagusta main road happened at around 4:45pm on Thursday.

The 27-year-old driver, named only as N.D, a student was driving on the road when he lost control of the vehicle close to Yusuf Çocuk Lastik and went off the road.

It then crashed onto a traffic direction sign which caused the vehicle to somersault and landed on its roof.

No one was injured in the accident.

Police said he was driving carelessly.
