Accident in Kyrenia, no injury reported

A student was lucky to escape unhurt following an accident in which a vehicle crashed into a tree in Kyrenia on early Saturday morning.

The incident happened at around 2:00am on Saturday, Sept. 30 on Bedrettin Demirel street in Kyrenia when a 22 year-old man named only as CA, a Nigerian reportedly lost control of the vehicle and went off the toad before crashing onto a traffic light and a tree b the side of the road.

This caused a lighting pole to fall down due to the impact of the crash and then hit the roof of a workplace nearby.

No one was injured as a result of the accident.

Police in its report said the driver of the vehicle was driving carelessly with excessive speed when he lost control of the vehicle.
