Some roads will be closed to traffic flow as a result of the cortege marches to be held on the occasion of 29 October Republic Day.

The Republic of Turkey, which the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk declared on October 29, 1923, starting a new era for the Turkish nation after the victory in the War of Independence, is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

The anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, which has reached a century, is also celebrated with ceremonies and events in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Some roads will be closed to traffic flow within the scope of the cortege marches to be held on the occasion of 29 October Republic Day…

Due to the 100th Anniversary ceremony program of the 29 October Republic Day, the following routes will be closed to traffic flow one hour before the ceremony, due to the ceremonial marches and band concerts to be held in all districts on 29 October 2023.

Routes for the Ceremonial Passage in the Districts;
• In Lefke, at 09:45am, Lefke Police Station Dr. It will start at Selçuk Sömek Square, follow Atatürk Street and end at the square in front of Asmalı Kahvehane.

• In Iskele, at 11:00am, starting in front of Iskele Municipality Building, Dr. Arhan Müderrisoğlu Street and Şht. Following the direction of Davut Street, it will end at İskele Square.

• In Güzelyurt, at 11:45am, it will start in front of Güzelyurt District Governorate, follow Ecevit Street - Turgut Özal Street and end in front of Güzelyurt Family Canteen.

• In Famagusta, at 12:30pm, it will start from Sulu Çember, follow İsmet İnönü Boulevard and end in front of Yeni Lemar on the same street.

• In Kyrenia, at 3:00am, it will start in front of The Arkın Colony Hotel, follow Ramadan Cemil Square- Ziya Rızkı Street- Turgut Tahsin Street and 20 July Kordonboyu Street and end in front of the Atatürk Monument.

• In Lefkcosia, at 4:00pm, it will start from Pronto Circle on Mehmet Akif Street (Dereboyu) and end in front of the Barbarism Museum on the same street.

2. Drivers are kindly requested to use alternative routes on the specified dates and times, not to park their vehicles on the specified routes in order not to obstruct the traffic flow, and to comply with traffic signs and markers.
