Man enters market in Karpaz, steals everything he could lay his hands on

A Turkish Cypriot man that entered into a super market in Famagusta and stole everything in sight including bottles of alcohol and cigarettes was arrested by the police and to face trial in court.

The incident happened at around 4:00pm on Thursday when the suspect, named only as H.Ö., 53 entered a market operating in Kumyalı on the Famagusta - Karpaz Main Road, and stole several items.

According to police report, during a search carried out on the suspect's vehicle, 51 bottles of alcohol, 16 packs of tuna, 12 packs of washing powder, 10 packs of cigarettes, 5 packs of batteries, 3 boxes of herbal tea, 2 bottles of alcohol, which were believed to have been stolen before.

1 shampoo, 6 handbags, 1 school bag and 1 umbrella were also found.

The investigation continues.
