Police seize 420 gram of cannabis in Famagusta

Turkish Cypriot police on Thursday arrested two people and seized a haul of cannabis in a drug raid operation tagged "Rainbow-2" carried out in Famagusta.

The raid by the TRNC Narcotics Police carried out on the residence of one of the suspect named as OMD, 27 in Famagusta on Thursday.

Police said they found and seized; approximately 420 gram of cannabis in small packages.

A precision scale and a total of 9,850 TL and 10 Euros in cash were seized too. The cash was believed to be the proceeds of the sale of drugs.

A second person named only as SH, 21, who is believed to be connected with the incident was arrested.
