Man harasses woman he met in restaurant toilet in Kyrenia

A man was detained on court order in North Cyprus for allegedly harassing a woman he met in the toilet of a restaurant in Kyrenia. Man harasses woman he met in restaurant toilet in Kyrenia

The suspect, HE, at around 10.00pm on Tuesday, Feb. 6 was at a restaurant operating in the area known as Kale Arkası in Kyrenia as a customer when he assaulted a woman he met at the restaurant.

He was arrested upon a complaint and an investigation was launched against him for "sexual assault and drunkenness".

Police said he sexually assaulted a woman named BK, whom he met at the restaurant and chatted with, while she was going to the toilet to wash her hands, while under the influence of alcohol. 

Police said investigation was continuing, that there were statements to be taken and camera footage to be examined, and requested that the suspect be detained for 2 days.
