Two arrested after they were caught with drugs in north Cyprus

Two people were arrested in Güvercinlik, north Cyprus on Wednesday after they were caught with drugs.

The suspects named only as GK, 46 and AD, 52 were identified and arrested during an operation carried out by the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate Teams in Güvercinlik on Wednesday, April, 24.

Police said 700 grams of drugs were seized.

According to the statement made by the Police Press Officer, a search was carried out at the workplace under the control of GK. During the search, a substance believed to be drugs weighing a total of 700 grams and 2 handmade glass pipes believed to contain drug residue were detected and taken as evidence.

The second suspect AD, who is believed to be connected to the issue, was also arrested. The investigation continues.
