Turkish Cypriot woman steals almost 200,000 TL from the shop she works as a sales person

A Turkish Cypriot woman who works in a perfume shop was discovered to have stolen almost 200,000 TL from the shop.

The suspect identified as Kedi, 48, works in a perfume sales store operating in the Gönyeli-Yenikent. She was arrested by the police on Monday, Dec., 4 following a complaint by the police.
 
Police said the suspect who worked as a salesperson in the perfumery sales store between 2022 and 2023 stole 197,450 TL in cash, which she had collected from perfume sales.  
 
She told the police during investigation that she spent the money she stole on gambling,

Police stated that the suspect had a pending case against her for being in the casino.

Noting that the suspect was a TRNC citizen and that the investigation was completed, the police requested that she be released on bail with an appropriate guarantee.  

The judge who evaluated the testimony in court released the suspect on bail, on the condition that the suspect pays a cash guarantee of 10,000 TL, bring one person to signs a personal surety bond of 400,000 TL, and two people sign a surety bond of 250,000 TL each.
